Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
Personal data is processed for managing association membership and communication with members. The legal basis for processing is:
- Performance of membership agreement (member register)
- Consent of the data subject (marketing communications)
- Legal obligation (maintaining member register as required by the Finnish Associations Act)
Personal Data Processed
We collect and process the following personal data:
- Name
- Email address
- Membership start date
- Membership payment information
Data Retention Period
Member data is retained for the duration of membership and thereafter for the period required by accounting legislation (6 years from the end of the financial year).
Data Disclosure and Transfer
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed:
- To authorities to fulfill legal obligations
- To payment processing services (Stripe) for processing membership fees

Register Protection
Register data is protected with appropriate technical and organizational measures. Access to data is limited to only those persons whose job duties require it.
